Track Record

  • As the lead design engineer at BMA’s Daunia mine, Amy was responsible for the design and scheduling required to support the transition to a fully autonomous coal mine. She built a SPRY haulage model to facilitate daily through to budget scheduling and updated performance measurement standards to enable productive coal mining in an Automomous Haulage environment.
  • During her time as the lead tactical planning engineer at Daunia, Amy’s focus was the revision of pit and dump strategies to support the design and scheduling of an autonomous coal mine. This included leading the re-reserving of pits and dumps to enable the AH mine planning strategy and the development of a hybrid short to medium-term model to support alignment between site and tactical planning teams.
  • At Yancoal’s Mt Thorley Warkworth, Amy led the short-term prestrip planning to enable 18 million ROM tonnes annually and support the expansion of the prestrip fleet. During her tenure, Amy played a key role in the design and sequencing of an end-of-life pit to facilitate the recovery of abandoned coal seams.
  • Amy commenced her operational career at BHP Mt Arthur Coal as a production engineer developing and implementing daily plans and acting as the site liaison for the Integrated Remote Operations centre transition.
  • Amy, as an associate in the mining advisory team at PwC, provided equipment performance benchmarking and supported operational improvement initiatives for open cut coal mines in Central Queensland.
