Track Record

• Christian designed, implemented and led the internal HSE assurance function for the Australian and African mining operations of the Ausdrill Group. He was responsible for developing and implementing the HSE assurance framework, including audit programs for operation surface mining projects, risk based annual audit plans and a reporting and scoring system, for 12 business units across the Ausdrill Group.
• He led the review of key safety controls for firefighters when performing high risk tasks, such as using breathing apparatus when entering structural fires, driving under emergency conditions and emergency procedures for bush fire entrapment for WA government department.
• Christian ran an internal audit, evaluating the contractor HSE management framework of a global mineral sands mining company and made specific recommendations on how to pre-qualify, on-board and manage contractors more effectively while improving the reliance on contractor health and safety pre-qualifications.
• He performed an evaluation of onsite explosives inventory and safety management processes and controls for a large Australian silver mine. The project included an assessment of magazine security and compliance with Australian Standards. As well as underground explosives inventory handling, accounting, and shift handovers of stock.
• Christian is a first responder in the SES Vertical Rescue Specialist Unit and undertakes frequent training for responding to emergencies and incidents, first aid, casualty handling and managing injuries.
