With over 25 years of experience in the resources sector, Craig is a highly experience Mechanical Engineer, who has held the Statutory Manager of Mechanical Engineering position at two underground coal mines.

His responsibilities spanned from covering major underground machinery, equipment, and installations from procurement through to operation and maintenance. Craig has over 10 years’ experience in the execution and delivery of major brown and green field mining projects from concept through to feasibility, as well as other project evaluations, contracting strategies, contract negotiations and closure.  His strengths include his ability to see an issue or opportunity from many viewpoints, develop strategic pathways to success, develop robust business outcomes and working relationships.

Track Record

  • Craig was the Study Manager for multiple pre feasibility evaluations of both green and brown field coal mining projects with major individual project value uplifts in excess of $500M NPV.
  • He facilitated resolution of technical, design and project issues for a Port Ship Unloader project allowing the machine to transition into the commissioning and completions phase.
  • Craig developed and implemented major material handling infrastructure procurement including strategy, scope, contract negotiations and overseas contractor engagement worth $136M.
  • He was the Manager of Mechanical Engineering at a green field mine including procurement of equipment and infrastructure, recruitment of resources, systems establishment, maintenance management and site management.
  • Craig has vast experience in hydraulics, equipment trouble shooting and improvement, technical specifications, design reviews, manufacturing inspections, equipment overhaul and OEM management.
