Jamie Logan

BSc (Geo), MAIG, FGS

Jamie is a highly experienced geologist with over 15 years of experience in the resources industry.

He specifically over 10 years focused on resource modelling and specialising in precious metals, with additional exposure to base metals, industrial materials, and mineral sands. His expertise spans from multi-million ounce deposit resource estimates to intricate month-to-month grade control modelling and exploration planning for both major multi-nationals and junior explorers. With a deep understanding of the entire mining lifecycle, Jamie possesses detailed knowledge in QAQC, interpretations, geostatistics, estimations validations, and compliant resource reporting. What sets him apart is the perfect blend of operational hands-on mining experience and a strategic approach to deposit development, making him an invaluable asset for any mining venture.

Track Record

  • Competent Person production and signatory for numerous geological interpretations and resources estimates, included reports for the ASX, TSX and JSE.
  • He has been the geology lead on numerous due diligence assignments for copper, gold, graphite, silver in Australia, Kazakhstan, Namibia, and Tanzania. As well, he has completed geological interpretations and estimations for gold, nickel, copper, lead-zinc and graphite assets in Egypt, Canada, Türkiye, and Ghana.
  • In the junior space: responsible for drill design, QAQC, data validation, interpretations, estimation, and classification. Due diligence on external assets including model reviews and model re-builds across numerous assets. Direct input to project feasibility studies (PFS and DFS).
  • In the major space: development and management of QAQC and data management systems, supervision of production and grade control geology. Resource and grade control drill design, interpretations, estimations, and annual group reporting.
  • Jamie is an experienced trainer in mining software and the use of geological information in the modelling of varied mineral resources. His experience in software consulting includes resource evaluation and training covering precious metals, copper, zinc, bauxite, nickel laterites and minerals sands as well as input into Advanced Estimation module development and application of Local Kriging Neighbourhood Optimisation. His other software skills include Datamine RM, Micromine, Vulcan, Snowden Supervisor, Mapinfo, Leapfrog Geo and Isatis.
