Track Record
- Polina was part of a delivery team for the Amaam North Coking Coal Project in Eastern Russia (Chukotka) from initial field mapping and exploration drilling, through to construction, mining and shipping. She began this project as an undergraduate Geologist and finished as a Professional Geologist having participated in the full scope of studies through to delivery. The project went from first drill hole to first coal ship in 4.5 years.
- Polina has extensive experience in developing Geological and Coal Quality models, along with conducting model audits for prominent companies such as Fitzroy (Broadlea and Twelve Mile), Anglo (Dawson), Bloomfield (Rix’s Creek) and Idemitsu (Boggabri). She has also contributed her expertise to MachEnergy, where she conducted a comprehensive loss and dilution study for the Mount Pleasant mine.
- At Centennial Coal, she was engaged to complete detailed overburden studies for the Springvale and Mandalong underground mines. The project included geophysical interpretation, geological modelling, and reporting. The study incorporated regional and local structural assessment, and validation with key subsidence horizons. These projects were completed under budget and the results were well received when presented to the NSW Coal Geology Council.
- Polina was managing a team of data scientists and GIS technicians for the Northern Territory Government legacy database project “Resourcing the Territory”. The project went for 3 years in total and was focused on the digitizing and databasing legacy / unset data from historical reports dated between 1976 and 2012. She ensured the budget effective delivery and QAQC of the assigned datasets to the Northern Territory Geological Survey.
