Trevor has over 25 years of experience in the resource and construction industries and over 10 years consulting experience in many parts of the world.

He is a thoughtful, disciplined and enthusiastic team player with strong interpersonal, organisational and planning skills. His project management knowledge and experience are underpinned by expertise in capital delivery of materials handling systems, quarrying plants, mining, resources and engineering FEED studies. Trevor’s experience in directing multi-discipline project teams covering estimating, contract negotiation, process design, mechanical design, procurement, fabrication, construction and commissioning through stage-gated points of both new capital and sustaining capital programs enables him to thrive on the challenge of achieving the desired outcomes for both Palaris and our clients.

Track Record

  • Trevor was instrumental in driving a commercially acceptable design/solution for Atlas Iron’s stockyard conveying/materials handling requirements at Utah Point, Port Hedland WA. This project was a first for Atlas Iron as they chose not to go down the traditional EPCM path and decided to engage the design requirements directly with the supplier. The outcome was 100% successful with time and cost savings for the client.
  • He oversaw the prefeasibility study for the design and viability of a $150m USD pilot plant processing facility for manufacturing a coal/dolomite fertiliser product. This involved managing the design, developing the plant process flow and engaging equipment vendors in the selection of processing equipment to achieve targeted production rates. He supervised the identification of limiting constraints to the plant throughput rates, ultimately achieving commercial production volumes.
  • At Rio Tinto’s Cape Lambert site, Trevor delivered a complete feasibility study on the structural integrity of all processing equipment, identifying multiple areas of concern and suggesting a suitable repair and replacement strategy without impacting on the overall stockyard flow/capacity.
  • With the assistance of Alcoa, he developed a market engagement strategy for an innovative materials handling management solution offering equipment performance optimisation via efficient maintenance strategies using automated ‘real-time’ asset condition monitoring and data analytics.
  • Trevor led the design delivery team to provide a intrinsically safe replacement solution for BHP’s Port Hedland port operation Gravity Take-up Tower Replacement program. This solution was subsequently rolled out across multiple BHP sites.
  • Engaged by FMG, he provided fully detailed drawings for the complete inventory of their Pulleys which entailed over 180 individual detailed designs. This entailed all components to be documented, fully traceable and 100% up to date and AS compliant.
