Dane has 15 years in the resources industry across leadership, strategy, operational, technical, statutory and advisory roles. This experience made Dane a natural choice to head up the Palaris Decarbonisation Services. With a formidable ability to apply technical elements of ventilation and gas drainage to operations in an insightful and practical manner.  His deep technical skills combined with strong financial acumen, drives an unrelenting focus on identifying key value opportunities. Since joining Palaris, Dane has been involved in over 50 projects including feasibility studies, gas reservoir assessments, gas drainage and ventilation reviews and decarbonisation studies. Formal studies in Carbon and Energy will further enhance his knowledge as he confidently supports our clients identifying and achieving decarbonisation pathways.

Dane's Track Record

Dane was the Ventilation Superintendent for the integration of Appin and West Cliff Mines, where he oversaw the holing of the two mines, commissioning / de-commissioning of key ventilation infrastructure and the set up and operation of a dual longwall operation.

He has been involved in due diligence and feasibility studies as a technical expert in gas and ventilation responsible for delivering the gas reservoir characterisation, gas hazard identification, gas management strategy and specification of the gas and ventilation system infrastructure.

Dane has widespread knowledge of booster fans in underground coal mines. He has experience in all facets of the process including design, operation and decommissioning.
