Daniel has nearly 20 years of experience in the resources industry with close to 15 years in mining consulting. His experience spans the public and private sectors, across projects both in Australia and internationally.
Daniel has completed over 250 projects during his time at Palaris, ranging from benchmarking and options assessments through to mine optimisation and independent mine reviews. He has solid experience in mining studies from scoping to feasibility level where he has utilised skills in coal exploration, geological modelling, database management, underground mine design and scheduling, resource estimation and evaluation, gas management, GIS analysis and technical drafting. Given his qualifications and capability, he is a highly versatile consultant with a strong breadth and depth of experience.

Track Record
- Development of LOM plans and production schedules, including preparation of JORC Reserve supporting documentation aligned with mine design and operational assumptions.
- Delivered technical components across over 100 feasibility studies in Australia and internationally, spanning geology, mine planning, and evaluation. This includes development and interrogation of geological models, mine design inputs, and production scheduling, ensuring alignment between resource definition, mineability, and economic outcomes to support robust, decision-ready study deliverables.
- Played a key role in due diligence and independent mine review assignments, applying both mining and geological expertise to assess resource quality, mine design, and key technical risks, and to identify issues that may materially impact project performance and valuation.
- Worked within operational mine planning teams, providing practical input into scheduling, design, and planning processes, ensuring alignment between study outcomes and operational realities.
- Software capabilities include MinePlanner and XPAC scheduling software, Deswik mine planning software, Minex geological modelling software, VentSIM mine ventilation software, ArcGIS, AutoCAD and the full Microsoft Office suite.
